I came all the way from Iloilo International Airport then waited for 2-3 hours in NAIA for our flight to Davao.

This is us all prepped up.... to sleep all throughout the ride. It was a long ride for about 3-4 hours going to Mati, Davao Oriental.

So why go there? and suffer this 4 hours ride? It's all because of the beach! It's ideal for surfing and skimboarding and that's something we want to try.

Once we get there, we stayed for 2 nights in Surf Village Hostel. This is ideal place for back packers and it is convenient as it is close to Dahican Beach.

We started the day with a simple and delicious breakfast.

Tried surfing for the first time, and I barely stand for only few seconds which is not bad for a first timer.

There's a kid at the back who is a Pro. He's also helping us out.

The night before we went to the beach, the government representative from the Sanctuary of Sea Turtle said that there is a sea turtle who hatch a hundred of eggs.

We had lunch with the locals, on the left is a back packer as well and a travel blogger. Before going back to the city, we decided to check out the Provincial Museum.

It was fun! As we chitchat and met other tourist, went kayaking, snorkeling and scuba diving.

We had fun discovering more about clams! Thanks to our tour guide from DENR. Got to see different species of clams in different sizes and colors also the one's producing pearls. After this sweet escape, we just passed by Waterfront Hotel where some of them stays.

We add up to our itinerary the White River Water Rafting, wooh! Adrenaline rush! We went to Crocodile Park where their station is. It was full of bloopers as we stumble up and down the waters.

We will never leave this town without trying the top 10 restos, so we had dinner at Ahfat Seafood Place.

We had a tour around the Eden Park for few minutes together with other tourist. You can also enjoy their outdoor adventure if you're up to Skycycling. I wasn't able to try it though because I has an early flight.

Overall, I am pretty impressed that Davao is pretty peaceful and you can be at ease even if you walk through the night. The city has a curfew, everyone is helpful, people are well discipline. It is like UAE where you can walk with all your jewelries and gadgets on and no one will annoy you.

I am not from Davao but I definitely recommend this place if you are seeking for something new. Our one week of adventure here is definitely worth it.
